The first half of this chapter focuses on working in the world. Very practical stuff, but may take some discussion to understand. The second half goes back to adultery/wisdom. Maybe discuss why Solomon goes back to this yet again. Do remember, as always, that the women in Proverbs are both real – and illustrations of wisdom and foolishness.
Encouraging those you lead to absorb the scriptures daily is of critical importance. It is spiritual food, after all. Regular consumption is the only way to grow. The words of scripture are also the only words we will hear on this earth that are guaranteed to be the words of God – specifically the Holy Spirit. Many people say they are speaking for God – but only the words of the Bible are actual words OF God.
